Terms of Service
Terms governing access to and use of PDFora's online PDF and image-processing tools.
These Terms of Service govern your use of PDFora. By using the website or processing tools, you agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service.
1. The service
PDFora provides browser-based tools for common PDF and image-processing tasks. Features, limits, supported formats, and availability may change as the service is maintained and improved.
2. Eligibility and authority
You may use PDFora only if you are legally permitted to do so. You are responsible for having all rights, permissions, and authority necessary to upload, process, transform, and download the files you submit.
3. Your files
You retain responsibility for your files and their content. PDFora does not claim ownership of document content merely because a file is processed through the service.
You should keep your own original copies. PDFora's temporary file-processing system is not a storage, backup, or archival service.
4. Acceptable use
Use PDFora only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm the service or other users.
- Do not upload or process content when you lack the necessary rights or permission.
- Do not use the service to distribute malware or malicious files.
- Do not attempt to bypass file, page, request, or security limits.
- Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or attack the service or its infrastructure.
- Do not use automated traffic in a way that materially degrades availability for others.
5. Local processing and downloads
Selected files and processed outputs remain within your browser session. PDFora creates the processed result on your device and does not intentionally upload document contents to its servers. You are responsible for saving any result you need and verifying that the download completed correctly.
6. Accuracy and output review
Document processing can affect file structure, image quality, metadata, page sequence, compatibility, or visual appearance depending on the selected tool and source file. You must review the output before relying on it for an important submission, record, print job, or archive.
7. Availability and changes
PDFora may modify, add, remove, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue features. The current release does not include paid subscriptions. Any future subscription terms and pricing will be presented before they apply. The service can be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, hosting failures, security events, resource limits, or circumstances outside reasonable control.
8. Intellectual property
The PDFora name, website design, original site copy, software, and service presentation may be protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of PDFora's service materials to users. Your rights in your own uploaded content remain yours or with the relevant rights holder.
9. Third-party services
Hosting, email, browsers, operating systems, and other external services may have separate terms and privacy practices. PDFora is not responsible for third-party services that are outside its control.
10. No professional advice
PDFora is a document utility. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, compliance, or other professional advice. Processing a document does not validate the accuracy, legality, authenticity, or suitability of its content.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PDFora is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without guarantees that every file will process successfully, that every result will meet a particular purpose, or that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PDFora is not responsible for losses caused by failing to keep an original copy, relying on an unreviewed output, expired temporary downloads, unsupported file features, third-party outages, or misuse of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so mandatory rights may still apply.
13. Suspension for misuse
Access may be limited or blocked where reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, respond to abuse, or comply with applicable obligations.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date will be revised when an updated version is published.
